About The Position

Tindall Corporation, a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer in the Southeastern U.S., is seeking a QC Inspector I for their 2nd shift. The company's mission is to support customers, create remarkable structures, and deliver innovative solutions. This role involves conducting pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure concrete members meet required tolerances, performing concrete testing, witnessing stressing, and establishing adequate curing controls. All employees are expected to adhere to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure concrete members achieve tolerances as required by shop cards and PCI.
Perform concrete testing, including slumps, unit weights, air content, release cylinders, and 28-day cylinders.
Witness stressing and establish adequate curing controls.
Inspect bed set-up according to shop drawings for proper size and placement of all reinforcement, including strands, plate location, and structural connections.
Note any nonconforming items and notify proper personnel to bring product into conformance.
Set-up steam clocks to ensure proper curing temperature.
Monitor finishing procedures in the finishing shed.
Inspect final products, note any non-conformances, and notify the Engineering Department for approval or repair work order.
Ensure repaired members conform to Engineering's requirements.
Submit all non-conformances for engineering approval in writing.
