About The Position

The Quality Control belt inspection employee is a critical member of the QC team, responsible for ensuring quality is maintained to the highest standards by following inspection protocols and sorting out foreign objects. This role ensures compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes), Federal, State, and local food protection standards. The employee will also be responsible for enforcing GMP rules, maintaining a clean work area, and reporting any safety or quality issues to supervisors.

Requirements

Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.
Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions preferred.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Preferably be able to travel with the Company to Yuma Arizona during winter months (November to end March).

Responsibilities

Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies.
Complete Classic Salads Quality Standard Operating Procedure Training.
Identify containments and evaluate the risk of continuing to run the line, or put the line on hold and alert a QA supervisor for further guidance.
Communicate routinely with QC Specialist and QA Supervisor on issues related to food safety and product quality.
Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements.
Enforce all GMP rules by setting a positive example, coaching co-workers, and appropriate communication of violations.
Maintain work area clean.
Stop the line in the moment as necessary for any issue regarding food safety. Report issue to immediate supervisor.
Report any GMP violations to QA Supervisor.
Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free workplace.
Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management.
Other duties as assigned by QA Supervisor.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles), face shield, gloves, slip-resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron, etc.
Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Able to work under pressure and time.
Able to work in a cold/wet environment (34 - 36 °F Degrees).
Report all injuries and incidents big or small.
