About The Position

Responsible for performing various CMM Programming and inspections on Gas Turbine engines using overhaul manuals, standard practice manuals and WGPW established procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong skills pertaining to blueprint reading
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with employees and customers
  • Ability to calculate figures such as ratios, area, circumference and volume
  • Ability to apply the basic concepts of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and shop math as they relate to inspection or trouble shooting
  • Associate degree in manufacturing or equivalent work experience
  • Specialized training in the Quality Control field or technical school, military training and 1 to 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of CMM programming experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity of PC – Dmis software is a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of inspection experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily start up and calibration of CMM
  • Program CMM as required for various parts
  • Review current programs and make suggestion on the improvement of the same
  • Provide inspection department with pre-repair and post repair CMM results
  • Provide investigative CMM results when required
  • Conduct oneself in a businesslike manner and in the spirit of teamwork
  • Special projects as directed by management.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and efficient workstation.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures and rules at all times and wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
