About The Position

Ascentec Engineering is hiring! We offer an exciting environment where you can carve your own path to success. The QC Documentation Specialist works closely with the Quality Control inspection team to prepare and submit First Article and Dimensional Inspection Reports for semiconductor and aerospace customers. This role ensures all documentation meets customer specifications and quality standards. We welcome those with direct experience and those who have recently earned an engineering degree who want to gain hands-on experience in aerospace and semiconductor high-tech manufacturing while working alongside experienced quality professionals. This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints for machined parts and assemblies
• Experience with manufacturing document control or First Article documentation preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) preferred
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, dependable, and demonstrates strong integrity
• Customer-focused with a positive attitude
• Professional and respectful in all interactions
• Strong team player with flexibility to support changing priorities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules and hours as needed
• Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit for approval, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
• Review customer purchase orders and supplier purchase orders to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications
• Annotate FAIR and Dimensional Inspection Report (DIR) drawings with ballooned (bubble) numbers identifying all features and requirements
• Capture photographs of products, packaging, and labeling for inclusion in FAIR documentation
• Collaborate with customer source inspectors to review completed FAIRs
• Review with markup incoming product certification documents
• Perform additional duties as assigned
