About The Position

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a QC Associate Scientist to work with our Residue team in Columbia, MO. The Associate Scientist in QC responsibilities include reviewing data, reports, and other documents for internal accuracy and consistency with protocols, methods, and SOPs. This role prepares, issues, and tracks reports of observations noted during review, and reviews and evaluates addressed deficiencies for clarity, completeness, and correctness, working with staff to correct any noted deficiencies/inconsistencies. The position also assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control systems and procedures, and adheres to schedules according to Eurofins Agroscience’s or contracting organization’s timetable, establishing daily or weekly routines necessary to ensure on-time delivery. The role may assist in the preparation of data and final reports for completed projects or studies, and may cross-train into laboratory functions and perform experiments. Other related duties as required and directed are also part of this role.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, environmental studies, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas.
In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used to substitute in whole or in part for the Bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of two years of experience in a directly relevant or demonstrated comparable competency and skill attainment is required.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and experience.
