Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a QC Associate Scientist to work with our Residue team in Columbia, MO. Requirements

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, environmental studies, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas.
  • In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used to substitute in whole or in part for the Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a directly relevant or demonstrated comparable competency and skill attainment is required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Review data, reports, and other documents for internal accuracy and consistency with protocols, methods, and SOPs.
  • Prepares, issues, and tracks reports of observations noted during review.
  • Reviews and evaluates addressed deficiencies for clarity, completeness, and correctness. Works with staff to correct any noted deficiencies/inconsistencies.
  • Assists with development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control systems and procedures.
  • Adheres to schedule according to Eurofins Agroscience’s or contracting organization’s timetable and establishes daily or weekly routines necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
  • May assist in preparation of data and final reports for completed projects or studies.
  • May cross-train into laboratory functions and perform experiments.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.
