QC Analytical Scientist Group Leader
About The Position

This role involves performing physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics. The scientist will operate instrumentation independently, prepare samples and standards, and perform equipment maintenance. Knowledge of cGMP and LIMS is essential. The position also requires supporting scientists, adhering to GLP/GMP and good documentation practices, and maintaining a clean and safe lab environment. A key aspect of this role is leadership, including leading a team, scheduling, training employees, ensuring quality and efficiency standards, managing team member growth, and fostering morale and teamwork, while balancing technical lab work with leadership responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience
- 2-6 years of bioanalytical testing experience
- Understanding of industry practices and standards is required

Responsibilities
- Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics
- Run instrumentation independently including, but not limited to RP-UPLC, RP-HPLC, and UV spectroscopy
- Preparing samples for analysis and running instrumentation with minimum supervision
- Prepare standards and samples for analysis
- Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment and other laboratory support activities
- Knowledge of cGMP and LIMS
- Support scientists with their experiments based on company protocol, method, and procedures
- Follow GLP/GMP and good documentation using electronic lab notebook
- Help with organizing and cleaning of lab and work environment
- Follow documentation and safety practices
- Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
- Lead team, schedule, and train employees in client environment
- Ensure coverage and performance
- Performs administrative tasks related to team member growth and development
- Adeptly balance technical lab work with leadership responsibilities
