QC Analytical Scientist Group Leader
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services. This role involves performing physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics, running instrumentation independently, preparing samples and standards, and performing monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment. The position also requires knowledge of cGMP and LIMS. In addition to laboratory work, the role involves leadership responsibilities such as supporting scientists, ensuring adherence to GLP/GMP and good documentation practices, organizing and cleaning the lab, ensuring quality and efficiency standards, leading the team, scheduling, training employees, performing administrative tasks related to team member growth and development, and balancing technical lab work with leadership responsibilities. The goal is to foster morale and teamwork while ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in laboratory operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience
- 2-6 years of bioanalytical testing experience
- Understanding of industry practices and standards is required

Responsibilities
- Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics
- Run instrumentation independently including, but not limited to RP-UPLC, RP-HPLC, and UV spectroscopy
- Preparing samples for analysis and running instrumentation with minimum supervision
- Prepare standards and samples for analysis
- Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment and other laboratory support activities
- Knowledge of cGMP and LIMS
- Support scientists with their experiments based on company protocol, method, and procedures
- Follow GLP/GMP and good documentation using electronic lab notebook
- Help with organizing and cleaning of lab and work environment
- Follow documentation and safety practices
- Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
- Lead team, schedule, and train employees in client environment

- Ensure coverage and performance
- Performs administrative tasks related to team member growth and development
- Adeptly balance technical lab work with leadership responsibilities
