About The Position

TLN is hiring two full-time independent contractors to work remotely from the Philippines as Quality Assurance testers. The QA team supports the release of TLN’s SaaS products by carefully testing web and mobile software and clearly reporting defects. The role includes manual testing across web, mobile web, and native mobile applications, as well as API testing and communication with the QA team and engineering leads. The schedule is flexible around a required 4–5 hours of overlap with Eastern Time, which is roughly evening to early morning in the Philippines.

Requirements

At least 3 years of hands-on manual QA experience testing SaaS or web-based software.
Strong written English and the ability to provide clear, concise bug reports and updates.
Experience with a bug or issue tracker such as Jira, Linear, or Azure DevOps.
Experience testing across browsers, mobile web, and iOS and Android apps.
Experience with API testing using Postman.
Own a computer and iOS and Android phones.
Have a reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup.
Be able to work 4–5 hours per day overlapping Eastern Time, with a flexible schedule around that overlap.

Nice To Haves

3–5 years of manual QA experience is preferred.
Experience using browser developer tools to capture console errors and network requests for bug reports.
Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Experience testing learning or education software, such as LMS, e-learning, or course platforms.
Backup equipment in case of power or internet interruption.
Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor as it relates to QA.
Software development experience with Java, PHP, NodeJS, JavaScript, or similar.

Responsibilities

Run manual test cases across TLN’s web-based SaaS products.
Test desktop browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, as well as mobile web and native iOS and Android apps.
Find, document, and report defects with clear titles, reproduction steps, expected and actual results, and screenshots.
Log and track bugs in Linear.
Test APIs using Postman.
Provide clear written status updates to the QA team and engineering leads.
