About The Position

Mfinite Consulting is building a pool of software testers and QA analysts for contract assignments with North Carolina state and public-sector agencies in the Raleigh area. Assignments typically last 6–12 months, with agencies setting the schedule and work arrangement (onsite, hybrid, or remote). The role is a full-time contract assignment, approximately 40 hours per week, as a W-2 hourly employee of Mfinite Consulting LLC. Pay is $23–$28 per hour, based on experience and skill level. Testers learn how end users work, develop and review test cases and plans, execute manual and automated testing, log and retest defects, support user acceptance and regression testing, communicate results, and maintain documentation. Requirements

At least 1 year of software testing or QA experience; more experience is required for senior assignments.
Experience with a test management or defect tool such as Jira/Xray, Azure DevOps Test Plans, ALM, or similar.
Careful attention to detail and clear written communication.
Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

ISTQB certification.
Automation experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, or accessibility testing experience (Section 508).
Government or healthcare system testing experience.

Responsibilities

Learn how end users work and translate that into logical, well-ordered test cases.
Write and review test plans for a range of applications.
Run manual and automated test scripts; log and retest defects.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing before releases.
Report test results clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
Keep test, user, and process documentation up to date.
