QA tester (Manual and Automation) - AI

About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled QA Tester with strong experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Playwright automation, a solid understanding of modern QA practices, and exposure to AI-driven testing tools and techniques. This role involves ensuring high product quality, developing robust test frameworks, and contributing to continuous testing within Agile environments.

Requirements

Strong experience in manual and automation testing (3 years preferred).
Hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation.
Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript / Python.
Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Exposure to AI-based testing tools (e.g., Testim, Applitools, Functionize, or similar).
Understanding of concepts like: Self-healing automation, Intelligent test generation, Visual/UI AI testing.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of machine learning applications in QA is a plus.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow) is a plus.
Experience in testing microservices architecture.
Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to security testing basics.
Certifications like ISTQB are a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
Identify, log, track, and verify defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues effectively.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python).
Build scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks.
Integrate tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines).
Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform testing coverage.
Analyze automation results and improve test reliability.
Leverage AI/ML-based testing tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Use AI tools for self-healing test scripts, test case generation, and defect prediction.
Evaluate and integrate solutions such as test optimization tools, visual AI testing, or NLP-based test automation.
Stay updated on emerging trends in AI-assisted QA and intelligent automation.
Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Work closely with developers, DevOps, and product managers.
Contribute to test strategy, QA processes, and quality improvements.
Maintain documentation for testing processes and automation frameworks.
