About The Position

Verizon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead and transform web and service automation testing frameworks and integrate AI solutions into its testing ecosystem. The role drives automation and AI strategy and execution, with a focus on quality, operational excellence, and reducing testing time and costs. It covers mobile app, web, and services testing across Value segments and involves collaboration with business and technical teams and leadership of QA professionals. The Senior Manager develops and implements automation strategies and scalable frameworks for functional, performance, and regression testing; evaluates and integrates AI/ML-driven tools; and works with Development, DevOps, and QA teams to incorporate automation and AI into CI/CD pipelines. The role also mentors engineers, tracks KPIs, manages resources, budgets, and timelines, and monitors emerging technologies and practices. This is a hybrid position with a defined work location, including work from home and at least three days per week in the office. Scheduled weekly hours are 40.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training.
Experience in automation testing of web applications and APIs.
Expertise in automation frameworks such as Playwright or similar.
Experience with AI/ML tools and techniques, particularly in testing and defect management.
Experience building MCP servers, tools, and integrations connecting LLM agents to internal systems.
Experience with developer AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Devin AI.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Python, or similar, with deep hands-on expertise using Playwright with TypeScript.
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to adapt to and drive change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
Certifications in AI/ML or automation testing tools.
Experience with PyTorch or other AI frameworks.
Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive automation strategy for web and service applications.

Mentor and coach engineers, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence.
Define and track KPIs for automation and AI initiatives, aligned with business goals.
Manage resource allocation, budgets, and timelines for automation and AI projects.
Develop and execute test automation strategies for mobile app, web, and services testing across Value segments.
