About The Position

Performs under the Department of Quality Assurance under the direct report of Internal Auditor. Enters daily results for microbiology and chemistry. This role requires flexibility with the schedule to include filling in with second shift, start-up, and weekends. The position involves enforcing the company's good manufacturing practice program and requires full knowledge of running Food Scan and Chemistry samples. The working conditions can vary, with potential exposure to dangerous machinery, electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards, high noise levels, and damp, slick floors. Temperatures can range from 30 to 110 degrees.

  • Must be able to learn and abide by company rules and policies, and customer specifications.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must conduct themselves in a respectable, professional and courteous fashion.
  • Must be able to interact with other department managers and customers.
  • Must be able to multi task.
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team effort.

Nice To Haves

  • Must be flexible with schedule to include filling in with second shift, start-up and weekends.
  • Full knowledge of running Food Scan and Chemistry samples.

Responsibilities

  • Enter Chemical analysis and Microbiological results.
  • Make worksheets for Microbiology as needed.
  • Make reports for Microbiology as needed.
  • Enters weights for QA department, physical defects, and makes monthly reports.
  • Responsible for Food Scan calibration and Chlorine checks as needed.
  • Enforcing the company’s good manufacturing practice program.
  • Fill in for Chemistry Technician as needed.
