About The Position

The QA Technician is an individual contributor role responsible for performing routine quality checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility. This role involves reviewing QA/HACCP paperwork, performing sampling and testing, and understanding food production processes. The position also requires adherence to safety procedures and may involve developing and maintaining databases.

Requirements

Competence in QA transactions, in SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Understanding of GMP’s, SSOP’s, and HACCP principles.
Ability to interact with and communicate with various team members in management, QA, and production as well as government officials, and 3rd party contractors.
Physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
Physical ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours.
Required to wear extensive GMP uniforms to include hairnet, gloves, lab coats, and rubber boots.
Required to wear personal protective equipment such as cut resistant gloves, bump cap, steel mesh gloves.

Responsibilities

Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and fill out correctly.
Perform all QA Tech responsibilities for routine quality checks, and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
Develop and maintain databases as needed.
Perform QA sampling and testing methods.
Understand the processes and methods involved in food production.
Understand and practice appropriate safety procedures, including education, training, use of protective equipment, and following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
