About The Position

PS Seasoning, a third-generation strong company, is seeking a self-driven, well-organized Quality Assurance Technician for its 3rd shift. This role requires decision-making skills and time management with little supervision. The position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and supports the company’s production facility. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred. Requirements

  • Basic math skills required
  • Prior Quality Assurance experience required
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing, climbing and walking throughout the production area.
  • Ability to transition between production and office environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience in food manufacturing with HACCP, GMPs and food safety programs is preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, verify, sample, weigh and test product for defects
  • Receive in and release raw materials
  • Send out samples for testing and release finished product
  • Discard or reject product not meeting specifications
  • Observe and monitor production operations to ensure conformance and adjust if necessary
  • Work with the plant to comply with customer requirements and maintain high industry standards
  • Complete allergen testing and paperwork to ensure compliance
  • Monitor critical control points (CCP’s) multiple times daily
  • Support all required customer audits, safe quality food (SQF) audits, third party audits and internal audits
  • Maintain pre-operation inspection procedures
  • Responsible for daily and monthly audits performed inside and outside the building
  • Label proofreading; paying special attention to detail
  • Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and employee safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
