The QA Technician will be responsible for understanding all operations of the production line and demonstrating a working knowledge of essential Quality and Food Safety Programs. This role involves assisting in regulatory audits, being a member of the plant Internal Audit Team, and monitoring/reporting violations of GMP, Food Safety Compliance, plant security, and safety policies. The technician will collaborate with production to ensure products meet specifications, monitor finished product specifications, and enact HOLD procedures. Responsibilities also include routine checks of metal detectors, daily lot tracking documentation, collecting and evaluating product samples, initiating foreign material reports, maintaining data entry spreadsheets, performing 100% inspection of key accounts, recommending process improvements, reporting unsafe conditions, taking problem-solving initiative, and adhering to all safety and food safety policies. The role also requires assisting other departments as needed.
