About The Position

The QA Technician Level 1 is primarily responsible for day-to-day quality activities associated with the production, sampling, inspection, testing, and release of materials and finished products. The position works closely with the Quality Manager and may perform other duties within the Quality department as assigned.

Requirements

High school graduate.
One year of experience within a regulated industry, such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or food.
Good computer skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Able to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
Able to stand for long periods (seven hours or more).
Able to work in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled work areas.
Regularly able to be independently mobile, interact with a computer, and communicate with staff, peers, and management.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming inspection of materials and finished product.
Assist Production with in-process testing as needed.
Assist with final lot testing.
Perform sterile finished goods inspection.
Place and incubate biological indicators associated with sterilization.
Complete and maintain various Quality records.
Update Quality procedures related to the listed activities as needed.
Change item statuses within the company computer system.
Perform other Quality department duties, such as NCR, Validation, CAPA, and Internal Audits, as assigned by the Quality Manager.
