This role assists with tasks related to the quality of finished products, raw ingredients, and packaging materials, ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety practices are followed. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to use iPad/tablet.
  • Ability to operate standard lab equipment.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be detailed and organized.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Strong attention to detail; data and sample collection, accuracy in paperwork.

  • Associate is regularly required to stand; talk or hear.
  • Associate is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and occasionally sit; climb or balance; reach with hands and arms; taste or smell.
  • Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
  • Training on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field preferred.
  • Certificates related to Food Safety and/or HACCP preferred.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety fundamentals is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Collect measurements, test and report results on various components to ensure they fall within specification ranges.
  • Ensure that sandwiches are being built to specification.
  • Conduct in line audits/product assessments for specification compliance on food products.
  • Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues and document corrective actions.
  • Ensure GMPs are being followed.
  • Assess facility for sanitary compliance.
  • Collect weights and measurements of finished good products.
  • Ensure package integrity and accuracy.
  • Follow the HACCP Plan to ensure food safety.
  • Assist with training incoming QA technicians.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform pre-operational inspection and ATP swabs.
  • Assist in pilot runs and data collection as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
