QA Specialist
About The Position
Our company is looking for a detailed-oriented QA Specialist. Freshline is one of Canada’s premier processors of fresh-cut, value-added fruits and vegetables. We offer an extensive line of fresh-cut produce items to the foodservice, retail, and manufacturing sectors. At Freshline Foods, we have the expertise to custom cut and pack any fresh fruit and vegetables to enhance quality and shelf life. We also offer private label programs. All our manufacturing processes follow the strictest food safety guidelines in our industry and our full-time quality assurance team ensures all operations abide by HACCP/ G.M.P food safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong & comprehensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- College or equivalent diploma required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Internal Auditing as an asset
- Preference to candidates who has or working towards HACCP
Responsibilities
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPS)
- Pre-sanitize checks to ensure the product is ready for production
- Keep track & record of product description details, ie. temperature etc.
- Conduct regular checks on both raw material and finished product in accordance with the quality standards
- Assure the quality of produce entering the warehouse and advise if the product should be accepted or rejected
- Screen out products with deficiencies
- Liaison with shipping & receiving department and purchasing agents for any product concerns
