QA SOFTWARE TESTER I (HYBRID)

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL Base Salary: CAD $68,000.00 - 85,000.00 We are looking for a QA Software Tester I with 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance, mobile application testing and automation. In this role, you will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on mobile and web applications.
- Strong skills in Appium, Cypress, and JavaScript for automation testing.
- Experience with manual testing (functional, regression, UI) on web and mobile applications.
- Experience with REST API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Experience with version control systems such as GitHub.
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and TestRail (or similar tools) for test case management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using or Knowledge of AI models that can be utilized for Automating Tests
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (preferably in Azure DevOps).
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications.
- Test mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
- Log and track defects in Jira, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Create and execute test plans and cases, ensuring software meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA team members to understand application features and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Appium, Cypress, Postman and JavaScript.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups as part of an Agile team.
