Position Summary The QA/QC Project Apprentice supports field quality activities by assisting with inspections, documentation, and data collection. This role focuses on learning construction quality standards, developing technical understanding, and building strong documentation discipline. The QA/QC Apprentice works under the direction of QA/QC Specialists, Coordinators, and field leadership to ensure accurate records and consistent execution of quality processes.

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience in construction or related field
  • Ability to read drawings/specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Honest communication skills
  • Microsoft suite experience (excel, word, outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a positive attitude, be professional and self-motivated
  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of construction processes (mechanical/plumbing preferred)
  • Ability to type 25 WPM preferred
  • OSHA 10 preferred
  • Associates Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with field inspections and testing activities
  • Gather and document quality data, photos, and reports
  • Maintain QA/QC checklists and ensure records are complete and organized
  • Review project drawings and specifications to understand scope requirements
  • Communicate field observations and issues to QA/QC team members
  • Support coordination between field and office for quality-related items
  • Assist in preparing documentation for inspections and project closeout
