About The Position

Perform a wide variety of inspection, quality assurance, and quality control activities utilizing visual, dimensional, functional, and non-destructive testing methods. Conduct audits, complete required documentation, and make critical observations to verify compliance with applicable codes, procedures, specifications, and client requirements. Interface with client and company personnel to ensure inspections are executed safely, accurately, and in compliance with Company and customer standards, while identifying, reporting, and assisting in the resolution of nonconformance issues.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified or Certifiable Level II in any of the NDT/NDE methods (i.e. RT, MT, PT, UT and VT)
  • Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Program (IRRSP), agreement state card or card for radiography compliance
  • Knowledge of field NDT/NDE equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • 3+ years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Company and Client safety programs and initiatives
  • Attend client meetings, safety meetings, and project-related activities as required
  • Coordinate QA/QC activities with client representatives, operations, and project management teams
  • Investigate, document, and assist in resolving client concerns, complaints, and nonconformance issues
  • Support project startup activities and serve as a customer interface during project execution
  • Review inspection records, reports, and radiographic film/images for compliance with applicable procedures, codes, specifications, and client requirements
  • Conduct periodic field audits of ongoing work to verify compliance with Company procedures and client standards
  • Perform in-field QA/QC audits at various Superior Inspection Services and Exxon jobsites
  • Identify, document, correct, or escalate quality and compliance concerns observed in the field
  • Monitor and track the status and disposition of nonconformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions
  • Ensure inspections are performed in accordance with approved written NDT procedures, governing codes, and applicable standards
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance technical and auditing skills
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable NDT methods, procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, specifications, and applicable code requirements
  • Complete required reporting, documentation, and timekeeping accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support operational excellence through additional duties and special projects as assigned
