About The Position

Ensure Quality, Enforce Standards as a QA/QC Inspector Do you take pride in getting things right the first time? As a QA/QC Inspector with APS, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that construction, fabrication, or installation work meets all applicable standards, specifications, and safety requirements. You’ll be the eyes and ears for quality in the field—supporting our clients’ commitment to precision, compliance, and operational excellence. Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction experience.
  • Experience performing quality inspections on industrial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation installation practices.
  • Working knowledge of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ability to independently perform inspections and identify installation deficiencies.
  • Experience interpreting: Construction drawings, P&IDs, One-line diagrams, Instrument loop drawings, Electrical schematics, Project specifications
  • Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Experience preparing detailed inspection and quality documentation.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with contractors, engineers, and project teams.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Proficiency operating aerial lifts and man lifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, automotive, battery, semiconductor, data center, or energy projects.
  • Knowledge of commissioning turnover processes.
  • Experience with construction quality management systems.
  • Any of the following certifications are preferred but not required: ISA NICET ICC IAPMO CPI ASHRAE API 570 API 577 AWS ASNT

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on materials, welds, equipment, and installations to ensure conformance with drawings, specifications, codes, and procedures
  • Document inspection results, generate reports, and maintain quality records in compliance with project standards
  • Identify non-conformances and support corrective action processes
  • Verify material traceability, weld maps, test results, and equipment certifications
  • Conduct or witness tests (hydrostatic, torque, NDT, etc.) depending on project scope and requirements
  • Interface with construction teams, subcontractors, and client QA/QC personnel
  • Participate in audits, turnover documentation, and project closeout activities
  • Promote and enforce safety and quality culture on-site
