About The Position

The QA/QC Inspector will report directly to the assigned supervisor. Position will provide technical support to company supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with drawings and specifications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D)
  • At least eleven (11) years of experience in discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Basic computer skills or capable of learning to use computer.
  • Understanding of basic math and print interpretation helpful.
  • Must be able to write effectively.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
  • Able to climb, work at high elevations and work in confined spaces.
  • Able to work day or night shifts.
  • Able to work 10-to-12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
  • Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 60 minutes without a break.
  • Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
  • Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
  • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
  • Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material.
  • Research, work with engineering to recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
  • Verify all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done such as, sketches of work already completed, material requirements, calculations, etc.
  • May provide technical support and direction of project material control functions including implementation and operation of maintenance program.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
