About The Position
We are hiring a QA Inspector for our Southwest Houston area client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately! This is a temp-to-hire position.
Requirements
- Previous experience performing quality inspections in a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, including positional and runout tolerances.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection gages.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 drawing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Must be comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Training will be provided for hardness, tensile, and Charpy testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components.
- Review engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to verify parts meet specifications.
- Use precision inspection equipment including calipers, height gages, micrometers, dial indicators, go/no-go gages, and an optical comparator.
- Conduct or assist with hardness, tensile, and Charpy testing; training will be provided as needed.
- Perform PMI and coating thickness inspections.
- Verify required part identification and stamp markings.
- Accurately record inspection findings and determine whether completed parts meet acceptance criteria.
