About The Position

The QA Nurse Coordinator is responsible for quality assurance documentation and regulatory compliance for Hackensack Meridian Health’s Blood & Marrow Transplant division of the Cancer Center. The role maintains documentation for agencies including FDA, FACT, and NMDP; monitors staff regulatory and education compliance; and supports the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures. The coordinator also serves as a staff resource, submits requested regulatory and educational reports, and coordinates quality management meetings, audits, validation studies, and collection reports.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of experience in BMT transplant, apheresis, and photopheresis.
New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License.
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Responsibilities

Manage quality assurance documentation for the Blood & Marrow Transplant division of the Cancer Center.
Maintain quality assurance documents for FDA, FACT, NMDP, and other relevant agencies.
Monitor staff regulatory compliance related to annual validations.
Develop and provide assessment tools to monitor staff education compliance.
Meet with the program medical director, Collection Center Director, and Nurse Managers to design and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
Work on Blood & Marrow Transplant Department special projects involving quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and education series.
Act as a resource for staff.
Submit regulatory and educational reports as requested.
Coordinate and facilitate quarterly quality management meetings, including agendas, audits, validation studies, and collection reports.
Conduct audits to monitor compliance with regulatory standards, including those outlined by FACT and JCAHO.
