About The Position

Exmark, a division of The Toro Company located in Beatrice, Nebraska, is the leading manufacturer of commercial mowers and equipment for landscape professionals. Exmark mowers are highly trusted by professionals for their productivity and unmatched quality. This role is for the 1st Shift, operating from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a pay rate of $22.24.

Requirements

High school diploma plus two years of technical training in Manufacturing Engineering, nondestructive testing, or related fields. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Comprehensive knowledge of inspection procedures.
Basic knowledge of common manufacturing processes.
Ability to read complex blueprints.

Responsibilities

Accurately inspect incoming parts flagged by the SAP Quality Program, making decisions on acceptance or rejection based on fit, form, or function.
Maintain accurate records and process appropriate documentation.
Review nonconforming product and process documentation for return to suppliers.
Troubleshoot problems with purchased parts in production and assess situations.
Recommend drawing changes to Engineering if errors or variations are found.
Assist in finished product evaluation and feedback by conducting periodic "Hot Test" audits.
Work closely with purchasing to react to adverse part situations for vendor notification.
Work closely with Engineering for the inspection of prototype parts.
Perform with a high degree of accuracy and exercise prudent judgment.
May perform first piece inspection for vendors to start production runs.
Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
Work without supervision.
