About The Position

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, a dairy cooperative owned by over 200 local family farms, is seeking a QA Line Coordinator for their 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm). This role supports the total quality focus of the manufacturing plant by managing documentation and distribution of finished product and ingredient data. The coordinator will assess and report compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, GFSI Initiatives, Customer Specifications, HACCP, and GMP requirements. The position requires weekend and holiday availability.

Requirements

Associates degree in related field or GED and two years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
Ability to work effectively under deadlines is required.
Confidentiality is required as the QA line tech is exposed to O-AT-KA customer and product information on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

Support Quality Systems, Food Safety Policies, Procedures and practices involved in the manufacturing process
Perform and/or Observe Line processing checks on packaging lines at required frequencies.
Collect Line samples for Customer send out and lab
Serve as a Point of contact for quality concerns with production and lab
Conduct Area pre-ops, post cleaning, prior to start up and in process checks.
Assist in all investigations, customer, root cause, etc.
Perform Internal auditing, GMP, Glass-Plastic, document audits, etc.
Conduct Master Sanitation checks.
Input repair orders and follow up for completion as needed.
Assist with HOLDS, paperwork, Ross transactions, E mail communications.
Ensure product is segregated.
Review of re-work from holds prior to release.
Pull ingredients samples/ run testing for product identity
Monitor environment temperatures and humidity
Other duties as assigned.
