About The Position

The QA Laboratory Technician works at JBS USA in Green Bay and reports to the Food Safety Supervisor. The starting pay is $23.80. The role supports food safety and quality programs through sample collection and submission, drug residue testing, audits, inspections, documentation, data management, and laboratory equipment maintenance. The technician helps ensure compliance with USDA, facility, and federal regulations and may assist QA or Food Safety supervisors and management with investigation data.

Requirements

Be self-motivated and trustworthy, and complete work assignments with minimal supervision.
Have good communication skills, including effective verbal and written communication in English.
Have computer skills.
Be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.

Ability to work second shift when needed.

Responsibilities

Walk production floors to collect various samples.
Submit samples to third-party vendors.
Perform drug residue testing.
Assist with third-party vendor audits.
Aid QA and/or Food Safety supervisors and management in gathering data for investigations.
Audit, document, and enforce USDA and facility regulations.
Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality programs are followed.
Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, and GMPs, and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Maintain laboratory equipment through proper cleaning and regular maintenance.
Enter and manage data.
Perform other duties as assigned.
