About The Position

Hours of this position are Monday – Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm

Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of quality techniques, processes and approaches with ability to make decisions.
  • Effectively work with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Able to work in a team environment, working with others to identify, contain and determine solutions to eliminate issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written formats to convey quality information and data.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and standards for inspection purposes.
  • Conduct inspections of assemblies, sub-assemblies and/or installations using appropriate methods, identifying correct marks where necessary, accurately recording data and maintaining documentation.
  • Perform measurements on parts utilizing measuring tools including quality test equipment as specified below.
  • Able to evaluate suspect parts and assemblies and disposition non-conforming parts.
  • Investigate and determine root cause of recurring part issues, process issues, workmanship issues and supplier related issues.
  • Initiative to follow through on quality related issues from initial identification through corrective action and follow up auditing.
  • Perform receiving inspections and first article inspections when required.
  • Be efficient and complete all work required in time allotted.
  • Attend all related meetings that pertain to assigned work area.
  • Be familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Requirements for documentation of procedures, work instructions and forms.
  • Be familiar with Lean Manufacturing principals, specifically the 5S program and how it applies to a factory environment.
  • Must have the ability to successfully obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
