About The Position

Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions is seeking a QA Inspector for its on-site Chesapeake, Virginia facility. The role performs inspections, checks, and tests for quality control in manufacturing, applying standard practices and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The inspector is responsible for accepting or rejecting items and ordering rework when needed. The position includes inspecting components, parts, raw materials, and material test reports; performing first-article and process inspections of machined parts and components; and checking part dimensions against design specifications. The role may involve exposure to export-controlled information and requires U.S. person status under applicable regulations.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
Precision measurement experience using hand measurement tools is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of U.S. export-control regulations.

Nice To Haves

CMM measurement experience is desired.
Experience reading and interpreting technical part drawings, schematics, and/or blueprints is highly desired.
Bachelor's degree or technical/trade school accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform dimensional inspections of parts to verify compliance with design specifications.
Accept or reject items and order rework as appropriate.
