About The Position

The QA Inspector Level II audits processes to ensure all systems and procedures are being followed; inspects products to ensure requirements are being met and parts meet specifications. This role involves inspecting finished or in-process products against standards using simple measuring tools and equipment for acceptance or rejection. The inspector will assure compliance with regards to line clearance, raw materials, in-process inspection, manufacturing, and housekeeping. They will also assist in the training and guidance of less experienced inspectors and production personnel with respect to QC methods and procedures. The role requires the use of basic math skills, including decimals and fractions, and simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, and computer input devices. Auditing reports, forms, records, and comparable data to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements is also a key function. The position involves using some judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods, and/or practices or to respond to preset computer menu choices or preprogrammed computer commands involving making minor decisions. The QA Inspector must maintain regular and consistent attendance and perform other additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum 1 year of experience in quality inspection or 1 year of experience in the manufacturing environment at Inline Plastics.
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate one-on-one and in groups.
Ability to interact with various groups of people.
Ability to understand detailed written and oral instructions.
Ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
In work related situations must be able to take direction and communicate in English on a one-on-one basis or in group situations as well as read and understand written documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; simple use of formulas, charts, drawings, specifications, etc.
Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
Must be able to read micrometers and calipers, digital force gauge.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills are a plus.
Experience in data acquisition is a plus.

Responsibilities

Audits reports, forms, records and comparable data to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements.
Use of some judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and/or practices or to respond to preset computer menu choices or preprogrammed computer commands involving making minor decisions.
Must maintain regular and consistent attendance.
Comply with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements.
Prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns to supervision.
Resolving potential hazards swiftly, thereby ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
Attend scheduled EHS trainings.
Actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals.
Identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and recommend enhancements to contribute to our commitment to a safe work environment.
Demonstrates safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, maintaining proper ergonomics, using equipment correctly, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Ensures strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement and discipline related to Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
Follows and ensures adherence to Product Safety and Quality standards.
Follows GMP’s regarding food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee.
Follows and ensures adherence to IPC product defense standards and complies with all SQF requirements.
