The QA Inspector Level II audits processes to ensure all systems and procedures are being followed; inspects products to ensure requirements are being met and parts meet specifications. This role involves inspecting finished or in-process products against standards using simple measuring tools and equipment for acceptance or rejection. The inspector will assure compliance with line clearance, raw materials, in-process inspection, manufacturing, and housekeeping. They will also assist in the training and guidance of less experienced inspectors and production personnel with respect to QC methods and procedures. The role requires the use of basic math skills, including decimals and fractions, and simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, and computer input devices. Auditing reports, forms, records, and comparable data to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements is also a key responsibility. The position requires some judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods, and/or practices or to respond to preset computer menu choices or preprogrammed computer commands involving minor decisions. Maintaining regular and consistent attendance is mandatory. The role also includes complying with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements, prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns, resolving potential hazards swiftly, and attending scheduled EHS trainings. The QA Inspector will actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals, identify areas for improvement in EHS practices, and recommend enhancements. Demonstrating safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, maintaining proper ergonomics, using equipment correctly, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required is essential. Strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement and discipline related to Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures, is also required. Following and ensuring adherence to Product Safety and Quality standards, GMP’s regarding food contact packaging, and IPC product defense standards and complying with all SQF requirements are critical.
