About The Position

SAIC is seeking a QA Engineering Technician to support or team in Indianapolis, IN. This role supports programs and processes which establish and maintain quality standards of products and services. The technician will implement and/or follow procedures, policies, and technical solutions to support business operations. Key responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, organizing, compiling, and reporting data, as well as monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with established processes or other control procedures. Support will be provided to areas such as engineering, production/repair depot, and business process improvement. This includes inspections, quality control, and final buy-off on mechanical parts/subassemblies and circuit boards, using various instruments to take measurements of machined parts to verify specifications, inspecting subassemblies, and verifying quality control of parts from vendors.

Requirements

  • AA and (2) or High School Diploma and four (4) years related experience
  • Preferred background in quality, engineering, Aerospace, or military specifications.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and engineering qualifications with outstanding customer service skills.
  • Experience with Customer Service, Support & Communication.
  • Experience with document control, technical documentation, blueprints & schematics.
  • Problem Identification & Resolution.
  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, depth gauges and other gages as required.
  • Perform dimensional measurements with instruments.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
