QA Engineer
About The Position
As a QA Engineer, you are passionate about delivering high-quality digital experiences and eager to expand your skills in automated testing. You bring approximately 3 years or more of hands-on experience in automated and manual testing, a growth mindset, and the motivation to develop stronger QA expertise while making a significant impact on the team and product. You will thrive in this role if you are a curious person capable of solving complex problems and challenging established practices, value collaboration and knowledge sharing within a team, and are enthusiastic about working at the intersection of technology, creativity, and data. Experience with agile practices and consulting is a plus.
Requirements
- 3 years or more of experience in writing automated and manual tests or developing features, including but not limited to writing and executing tests for web or mobile applications, automated tests, and automated API tests.
- Experience in developing automated tests in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience in QA automation, preferably in end-to-end (E2E) automation with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
- Analytical skills and the ability to present information logically and well-organized.
- Experience working in agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong clear communication and negotiation skills in French and English.
- Autonomous and highly motivated individual, a team player who works well within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated track record of developing strong, positive relationships with the software development team, including developers and business analysts.
- Solid experience with project management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Experience in different types of testing (black box, white box, regression, smoke detection, functional, and non-functional).
- Experience in writing end-to-end UI tests.
- Proficiency in English is required, as the role involves regular communication with clients and colleagues located outside of Quebec.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in writing API and integration tests using mocking frameworks.
- Good understanding of XML and JSON structures.
- Basic experience in creating automated tests for APIs using RestAssured, RestSharp, Postman, or GraphQL.
- Experience in testing mobile applications using emulators and cloud testing tools (Browserstack, Crossbrowsertesting, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience with agile practices and consulting.
