About The Position

24-MAG LLC is sharing a full-time, fully remote opportunity for an experienced QA Engineer to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products. The role works closely with engineering, product, and other cross-functional stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate owns testing for new features, product improvements, and bug fixes while strengthening automated coverage, identifying quality risks, and improving QA practices. Work spans manual testing, test automation, regression testing, defect management, and release validation. Responsibilities extend from requirements review through release validation, with testing priorities and quality requirements potentially evolving as products and engineering processes develop. Strong QA judgment and hands-on testing experience are central to the role.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong background working in agile, fast-paced development environments.
  • Strong manual testing fundamentals and demonstrated experience with test planning and execution.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining automated tests.
  • Familiarity with modern testing frameworks and automation practices.
  • Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and release validation.
  • Experience with bug-tracking systems and test-management tools.
  • Familiarity with version-control platforms.
  • Ability to identify, document, reproduce, and validate software defects.
  • Strong understanding of regression strategies, test coverage, and QA best practices.
  • Clear communication and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive manual test cases and scenarios.
  • Test new features, product improvements, and bug fixes through functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Validate expected behavior across varied user and product scenarios, maintaining coverage of critical workflows and release paths.
  • Build and maintain automated tests and improve regression coverage through effective automation.
  • Integrate automated testing into development workflows, identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual effort, and maintain reliable test suites as the product evolves.
  • Identify, document, reproduce, and track software defects, including clear reproduction steps and relevant technical context.
  • Work with engineers to clarify defects, verify fixes, and perform retesting and regression validation after resolution.
  • Maintain visibility into defect status throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop testing strategies aligned with feature and release requirements; identify quality risks early and prioritize testing based on product impact and technical risk.
  • Ensure appropriate test coverage before release and clearly communicate blockers, risks, and quality findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams and participate in planning, refinement, and release cycles.
  • Review requirements, identify potential testing gaps, and provide QA input during feature development and implementation.
  • Support rapid iteration while maintaining strong quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve QA workflows and testing practices; strengthen regression strategies and release-validation processes.
  • Improve consistency in defect documentation and test management, contribute to testing efficiency and product reliability, and help establish scalable quality practices.
