About The Position

As QA Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative engineering team, responsible for ensuring the quality of solutions developed for a corporate platform in the financial services context. We are looking for a professional with strong experience in Quality Assurance and test automation, capable of acting throughout the entire development cycle, from understanding requirements and defining the test strategy to automation, execution, results analysis, and defect tracking. We expect someone who goes beyond executing test cases: who can understand end-to-end business flows, identify risks and critical scenarios, investigate failures, and actively collaborate with developers, architecture, business, and other stakeholders. Daily communication with the US team is part of the routine; therefore, advanced English for oral and written communication is mandatory.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Quality Assurance, including planning, creation, and execution of test scenarios and cases.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and development/maintenance of automated frameworks or suites.
• Experience with REST API test automation.
• Experience with end-to-end (E2E) test automation for web applications.
• Knowledge of automation tools/frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalents.
• Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing data in relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with integration testing between systems, including APIs and upstream and downstream systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and automated test execution in pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and code versioning strategies.
• Ability to investigate failures, perform troubleshooting, and identify potential root causes.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into clear and comprehensive test scenarios.
• Good communication and interaction skills with technical teams, business, and other stakeholders.
• Advanced English, oral and written — mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS, especially CloudWatch, ECS, Aurora DB, and related services.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts, including JWT and OAuth 2.0.
• Knowledge of accessibility practices and non-functional testing.
• Experience with observability, log analysis, and application monitoring.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing, and results analysis.
• Experience in the financial and/or insurance sector, considered a differential but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategies, plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for new functionalities and platform evolutions.
• Develop and maintain automated tests, ensuring adequate coverage of main functional and regression flows.
• Validate end-to-end functionalities involving React frontend, BFFs, backend services, database, and integrations with external systems.
• Test integrations with upstream and downstream systems, including success scenarios, unavailability, timeouts, invalid responses, and error handling.
• Validate API contracts, payloads, HTTP status, business rules, and authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Validate data and business rules in the database using SQL, ensuring information consistency across different layers and systems.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, contributing to continuous test execution during the development cycle.
• Analyze results of automated executions, investigate failures, and differentiate product defects from environment, data, or automation issues.
• Register, prioritize, and track defects with development and business teams.
• Participate in requirement refinements and reviews, identifying ambiguities, risks, dependencies, and unaddressed scenarios before development begins.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis, using logs and observability tools when necessary.
• Collaborate with developers to promote shift-left testing, quality, and testability practices from the initial development stages.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of automation frameworks, tools, and practices used by the team.
