About The Position

Mattel Game Studios is seeking an experienced QA Engineer, Games Platform & Analytics, to provide hands-on testing and technical QA support across our mobile game portfolio. The role will focus on supporting the quality and integrity of publishing platform integrations, analytics instrumentation, attribution, consent flows, player accounts, technical regression, and targeted build validation. The ideal candidate has strong mobile game QA experience, is comfortable with technical teams and internal tools, and can independently investigate issues, validate data, and communicate risk.

Requirements

4+ years of game QA experience, preferably in mobile or free-to-play games.
Strong hands-on Android and iOS testing experience in a game publisher environment.
Experience creating test plans, test cases, regression suites, and exploratory scenarios.
Experience testing client/server, SDK, or platform integrations, and understanding of crash and ANR reporting.
Experience validating analytics instrumentation, telemetry, or event payloads.
Strong knowledge of LiveOps, progression, game economies, account systems, and platform integrations.
Strong troubleshooting skills across client, platform, and data-related issues.
Experience partnering with Engineering, Analytics/Data, Production, and QA teams.
Ability to work independently, prioritize and escalate across projects, and provide QA leadership coverage when needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience testing Unity and/or Unreal Engine games.
Familiarity with Xcode, Android debugging tools, and mobile logs.
Familiarity with App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and test build distribution.
Experience with Mixpanel, BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
Experience with attribution, deep linking, authentication, or consent SDKs.
Experience developing or maintaining automated tests.
Familiarity with CI/CD, mobile F2P analytics, or economy metrics.
Python scripting, C# programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain reusable, well-documented test cases, checklists, and validation scenarios.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across the full slate of Mattel Game Studios titles.
Validate authentication, account linking, consent and age-gate flows for mixed-audience configurations, install and event attribution, deep links, SDKs, and platform integrations.
Validate analytics and attribution events by triggering gameplay scenarios, inspecting telemetry and payloads, verifying data integrity against expected schemas, including event taxonomy and attribution schemas, and identifying and reporting data issues.
Support time-sensitive build and data validation to supplement external QA.
Reproduce and investigate defects using logs, device data, account details, and timestamps.
Follow through with key stakeholders across Mattel’s external development partners and internal data and technology teams to investigate issues and verify fixes.
Support Internal QA sign-off for analytics, attribution, and related technical implementation.
Support the MDS Technology function by triaging internal access requests for Mattel accounts, permissions, and required tools across the product lifecycle.
Help build use cases and specs for QA tooling and process improvements, validating requirements, assessing vendor solutions, and assisting with buildout.
Serve as a secondary QA point of contact to support the MDS QA function, assisting the QA Manager as needed.
