Job Summary & Responsibilities This position supports product quality (including manufacturing quality and design quality), and supports field and customer issue resolution. The successful candidate is expected to drive effective problem-solving to ensure continuous improvement in product quality. Lead cross-functional problem solving (8D) for Out of Box Quality and other field failures. Ensure timely response to customer Failure Analysis (FA) requests. Lead the Materials Review Board (MRB) process with timely dispositioning. Lead Quality readiness (QRR) as part of product Lifecycle Management (PLC) for specific programs. Ensure risk mitigation and continual improvement by leading FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and lessons-learned efforts. Drive resolution and corrective actions for manufacturing nonconformances. Define and maintain incoming Quality Control (IQC) requirements Execute Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA) for outgoing systems to meet quality requirements and specifications. Collaborate cross-functionally with peers in Development, Operations, and Service in order to effectively execute job responsibilities. Collect data and monitor metrics to drive continual improvement. Maintain internal process metrics. Track and communicate quality metrics to executive management. Participate in the internal audit program, leading or supporting internal audits to assure compliance with the Onto Quality Management System. Develop, maintain, and continually improve local procedures consistent with corporate processes and with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Support 3rd party ISO certification/surveillance audits and customer audits, driving resolution of findings. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bloomington, MN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
  • 3 years of experience in a quality role.
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal and presentation.
  • Adaptability and ability to operate in fast-paced and high-complexity environments.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, 8d, and Kaizen.
  • Full-time, on-site, located in Bloomington, MN.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.
  • Quality Auditor certification is a plus.
