About The Position

Stan AI is seeking a QA Developer to build and own their testing infrastructure. This role focuses on test automation, architecting the test automation framework, developing end-to-end test suites, and leveraging AI to enhance testing efficiency. The QA Developer will collaborate with the engineering team to ensure product quality, design tests to prevent bugs, maintain test infrastructure, and improve testing practices using tools like Playwright and AI-assisted test generation.

Requirements

3+ years of QA or QA automation experience (software quality assurance, test automation, or QA engineering)
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience
Hands-on Playwright experience (or equivalent modern test automation framework like Cypress, Selenium)
Understanding of test design principles (unit testing, integration testing, E2E testing, test pyramid)
Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience using AI/LLMs to accelerate test development or test case generation
Familiarity with JavaScript testing libraries (Playwright, Vitest, etc)
Experience testing modern web applications (React, TypeScript, API-driven architectures)
Knowledge of performance testing and load testing tools
API testing experience (REST, GraphQL)
Experience in B2B SaaS or operations software
Familiarity with Stan Ai's tech stack (Node.js, React, TypeScript, Hono, MongoDB)
Experience with test reporting, dashboards, and metrics
Experience with test data management and fixtures
Knowledge of accessibility testing (a11y)
Background in property management or operations domains
Experience advocating for testing culture in an organization

Responsibilities

Design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy covering unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Own the testing roadmap as the product scales.
Build and maintain the Playwright-based end-to-end test suite, writing reliable and maintainable tests.
Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate test development, generate test cases, improve test logic, and explore edge cases.
Set up CI/CD integration, test parallelization, reporting dashboards, and failure analysis.
Build tests to validate performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying bottlenecks and regressions early.
Partner with product, design, and engineering to define testable requirements.
Advocate for quality and testing best practices.
Document test architecture, best practices, and maintain test code quality standards.
Help the team write better tests.
