About The Position

EarthCam is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead/DevOps to spearhead our test automation strategy across our modern Laravel (PHP) and React stack. You’ll lead a team of quality engineers to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools that ensure product reliability, performance, and a seamless user experience. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances technical execution with team mentorship and strategy, helping to embed quality into every stage of our CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance testing preferred
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Familiarity with Java or Python to write test scripts
• Experience with test automation framework for both frontend (React), backend (Laravel/PHP/REST API) and Mobile apps (iOS SWIFT and Android Kotlin) preferred
• Exposure to performance/load testing tools (e.g., Artillery, k6, JMeter or similar) is a plus
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams is a plus
• Knowledge of containerized environment (Docker) and Kubernetes is a plus
• Familiarity with Laravel internals or testing Eloquent models, middleware and controllers is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end, integration, API, and UI test automation using Playwright for frontend (React) and REST Assured for REST API testing, with Java and TestNG as the primary automation framework.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to define test plans and ensure quality gates in CI/CD
• Own and evolve the test automation architecture and strategy
• Conduct code reviews and establish best practices for test writing and maintenance
• Ensure proper coverage, traceability, and documentation of test cases and defects
• Advocate for shift-left testing and embed QA practices early in the development lifecycle
