QA Automation Engineer - POS & In-Store Cust Facing Testing (Hybrid)
About The Position
Publix Super Markets’ POS & In-store Customer Solutions team is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to work on moderately complex projects and cross-platform efforts involving varied technology solutions, including infrastructure, software, and middleware. The engineer will work closely with project teams to plan and execute quality assurance activities and report results. The role also involves creating automated test cases using Playwright with TypeScript or C#. This is a hybrid position based in Lakeland, Florida. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within commuting distance of Lakeland. The hybrid model combines remote work with in-person collaboration, and candidates who advance in the interview process must participate in at least one onsite interview at the Lakeland campus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of SQL query experience writing and executing queries to review or validate test results.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a software application development life cycle environment.
- At least 1 year creating automation test strategies and hands-on experience writing Playwright automation scripts.
- At least 1 year of experience testing applications and interfaces in a Windows environment.
- At least 1 year of experience using Visual Studio IDE or VSCode.
- At least 1 year of experience writing and executing manual and automated test cases.
- At least 1 year of experience with backend ETL test automation.
- At least 2 years of Playwright automation testing using TypeScript or C#.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and using automated testing frameworks.
- At least 2 years of experience with .NET test automation frameworks such as NUnit.
- Experience manually and automatically testing REST, SOAP, and JSON APIs using Postman, SoapUI, and REST API automation libraries.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps Test Plans, Repos, and Pipelines, and integrating test automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure Databricks test automation using C#, NUnit, and Notebooks.
- Experience using DevOps tools such as Docker, Git, and Jenkins, and developing test automation frameworks for Azure cloud deployment.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate within commuting distance of Lakeland, Florida.
- Candidates advancing in the interview process must participate in at least one onsite interview at the Lakeland, Florida campus.
Responsibilities
- Design manual and automated test cases from user stories.
- Develop test scripts to verify quality and functional requirements.
- Build and enhance automated tests for CI/CD pipelines and new features.
- Execute manual and automated testing to support successful releases.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous quality improvements.
- Validate results, track defects, and perform feature and regression testing.
- Partner with development teams to identify, investigate, and resolve issues.
- Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness.
- Plan and execute quality assurance activities and report results.
- Create automated test cases using Playwright with TypeScript or C#.
