About The Position

Turing is an AGI infrastructure company working with frontier AI labs to accelerate model development through training data, evaluations, and engineering talent. The role is for a quality-focused engineer with hands-on experience in preference data and rubric creation. The successful candidate communicates clearly, synthesizes technical work into concise and actionable updates, and works effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with a bias toward shipping. The engineer will design and refine rubrics and evaluation criteria for preference data, review and label data to a high quality bar, and build and maintain pipelines and infrastructure for data generation, collection, and evaluation. They will synthesize findings into clear write-ups, updates, or recommendations and collaborate with researchers and engineers to turn qualitative judgment into scalable processes. This is a fully remote, independent contractor engagement for three months, with an expected start as soon as possible. The preferred availability is 40 hours per week, with at least six hours of overlap with Pacific Time. Compensation is market rate; candidates are asked to provide a specific rate expectation. The evaluation process is one approximately 30-minute technical and cultural interview. The contractor engagement does not include medical or paid leave benefits.
