Python Research Intern

About The Position
The undergraduate research intern will work closely with senior staff to develop Python-based tools for optimizing heat conductivity in satellite components and improving component layout design. The intern will assist in building surrogate machine-learning models for heat-transfer prediction and will implement optimization workflows using existing Python optimization frameworks such as Pyomo. The project will involve both stochastic optimization methods and gradient‑based approaches.
Requirements
- Background in Mathematics
- Familiarity with linear algebra, optimization, calculus, and basic machine learning techniques through coursework
- Familiarity with Python programming
Responsibilities
