About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in developing secure, scalable, and production-quality backend applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern Python practices, object-oriented design, and experience with REST API development using frameworks like FastAPI. A solid grasp of SQL and PostgreSQL, including data modeling and performance optimization, is essential. This role also emphasizes the ability to leverage AI and Generative AI for engineering automation and productivity improvements, aiming to reduce manual effort, enhance code quality, and accelerate testing.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern Python, object-oriented design, modular architecture, reusable libraries, type validation, dependency management, and PEP 8 coding standards.
• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or an approved equivalent framework.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, including data modelling, queries, functions, indexing, transaction management, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for engineering automation and productivity improvements using AI, Generative AI, intelligent agents, scripting, and developer tooling.
• Experience delivering practical solutions that reduce manual effort, improve code quality, accelerate testing, and enhance team effectiveness.
• Experience with Pydantic, PyTest, importlib, caching, and configuration management.
• Experience translating complex formulas, business rules, dependency graphs, or scientific models into deterministic, traceable, and testable software components.
• Experience designing automated unit, integration, regression, and API tests, with disciplined defect analysis and test evidence.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, scalable, and production-quality backend applications and calculation services using Python.
• Design and implement REST APIs using FastAPI or equivalent frameworks, ensuring request validation, API versioning, authentication, structured error responses, and OpenAPI documentation.
• Perform data modeling, write complex SQL queries, manage functions, indexing, and optimize PostgreSQL performance.
• Identify and implement opportunities for engineering automation and productivity improvements using AI, Generative AI, intelligent agents, scripting, and developer tooling.
• Develop reusable Python utilities and packages.
• Translate complex formulas, business rules, dependency graphs, or scientific models into deterministic, traceable, and testable software components.
• Design and implement automated unit, integration, regression, and API tests, including disciplined defect analysis and test evidence.
