About The Position

Turing is an AGI infrastructure company that supports frontier AI labs with training data, evaluations, and engineering talent. The Python Engineer will apply strong quality judgment to preference data and rubric creation, communicate technical work clearly, and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with an emphasis on shipping. The role involves designing and refining rubrics and evaluation criteria, reviewing and labeling data, building and maintaining pipelines and infrastructure for data workflows, synthesizing findings into clear recommendations, and collaborating with researchers and engineers to scale qualitative judgment into repeatable processes. This is a fully remote, independent contractor engagement lasting three months, expected to start as soon as possible. Compensation is at market rate; applicants are asked to provide a specific rate expectation. Availability of 40 hours per week is preferred, with at least six hours of overlap with Pacific Time; applicants unable to commit to 40 hours should state their availability and overlap window. The evaluation process consists of one approximately 30-minute technical and cultural interview. The engagement does not include medical or paid leave benefits.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to distill technical work into clear, actionable summaries.
  • High-taste judgment and the ability to articulate why something is good, not just that it is.
