About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Python Developer for an onsite position in Plano, TX. This role is open only for W2 candidates, and the client is only accepting USC/GC/GC EAD. The position involves designing and developing cloud-native backend architectures using microservices, serverless, and event-driven patterns. You will build scalable Python backend services and APIs, implement serverless solutions on AWS, containerize applications, and manage cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

7+ Years of Python Programming
Experience with FastAPI or Flask
Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions
Experience with Docker, AWS ECS/Fargate, and/or EKS/Kubernetes
Experience with SQS, SNS, and EventBridge
Experience with Amazon RDS/Aurora and DynamoDB
Experience with ElastiCache/Redis
Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Experience with CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, or comparable monitoring technologies
Knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, networking, VPC)
Understanding of availability, latency, scalability, and disaster recovery requirements
Experience with SRE and reliability engineering practices

Responsibilities

Design and develop cloud-native backend architectures using microservices, serverless, and event-driven patterns.
Build scalable Python backend services and APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
Design APIs with appropriate validation, security, error handling, performance, and integration patterns.
Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
Containerize and deploy applications using Docker, AWS ECS/Fargate, and/or EKS/Kubernetes.
Implement asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures using SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
Design and optimize data persistence using Amazon RDS/Aurora and DynamoDB.
Implement caching and session management using ElastiCache/Redis.
Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployments.
Implement observability using CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, or comparable monitoring technologies.
Apply AWS security best practices across IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, networking, and VPC architecture.
Design solutions that meet defined availability, latency, scalability, and disaster recovery requirements.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and apply SRE and reliability engineering practices.
Identify opportunities for performance optimization and cloud cost efficiency.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, and engineering best practices.
Provide technical leadership and effectively communicate architecture and engineering decisions to technical and business stakeholders.
