About The Position

Anyone AI is recruiting experienced Python Software Engineers for a series of paid, project-based engagements with a leading AI lab. You’ll work on clearly scoped software engineering projects involving real-world codebases and development challenges. Projects may include debugging, feature development, refactoring, migrations, testing, and technical review. This is a strong fit for experienced engineers looking for flexible, remote project work alongside other professional commitments.

Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
• Working knowledge of at least one additional language such as Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full-stack experience with production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing
• Ability to confidently navigate and debug large, multi-file codebases
• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Debug and resolve issues across complex, multi-file codebases
• Implement new backend or full-stack functionality
• Refactor and migrate existing systems
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites
• Write clear technical specifications and reference implementations
• Review code and technical submissions for correctness and quality
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes
• Validate that requirements, code, tests, and expected outputs are aligned
