About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This is a contract position with a potential for extension and full-time conversion. The role involves developing object-oriented software in Python, working with object-oriented databases and grid computing on the proprietary Quartz platform. You will also build data transfer tools to replicate data from a NoSQL datastore into an Oracle Exadata environment. The ideal candidate will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

Hands on experience writing object oriented Python, with the ability to produce clean, enterprise level code on a proprietary platform.
Strong experience designing, optimizing, and tuning SQL database tables and queries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Quartz (the banks internal platform) is highly beneficial, as this the team leverages python on this platform. Experience with this will accelerate ramp up to productivity
Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes. The team is shifting from a monolithic architecture toward microservices, so knowledge here will help support that transition.
