About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Python Developer for their Treasury & Capital Markets Technology team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting applications and services using Python for Treasury and Capital Markets technology platforms. The developer will collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, develop backend applications, APIs, automation solutions, and data-processing components. The position supports business processes related to treasury transactions, hedging programs, interest-rate derivatives, fixed-income securities, intercompany loans, and collateral management. The role requires working with financial and transactional data, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and integrating Python applications with various enterprise systems. Responsibilities include participating in the full software development lifecycle, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other technology teams. The developer is expected to take ownership of development activities, understand the business context, and adhere to enterprise standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of overall software-development experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of strong hands-on Python development experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience within Banking, Financial Services, Treasury, or Capital Markets technology.
  • Strong Python programming and software-engineering skills.
  • Experience developing production-grade applications, backend services, APIs, or data-processing solutions using Python.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience.
  • Experience integrating applications with databases, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software-development principles.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience understanding business requirements and translating them into technical implementations.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned development activities and take ownership through delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly describe personal contributions, technical solutions, and business outcomes from previous projects.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience supporting Treasury or Capital Markets technology applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, enhance, and support applications and services using Python for Treasury and Capital Markets technology platforms.
  • Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into reliable technical solutions.
  • Develop backend applications, APIs, automation solutions, utilities, and data-processing components using Python.
  • Support business processes related to treasury transactions, hedging programs, interest-rate derivatives, fixed-income securities, intercompany loans, and collateral management.
  • Work with financial and transactional data to develop application functionality, data-processing workflows, and business solutions.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, validate, and process application data.
  • Integrate Python applications with databases, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
  • Participate in solution design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production-support activities.
  • Troubleshoot application, data, integration, and production issues and drive them through resolution.
  • Collaborate with Java, database, infrastructure, and business teams within the broader Treasury Technology environment.
  • Take ownership of assigned development activities and drive them from requirements through successful implementation.
  • Understand the business purpose behind assigned development work rather than focusing only on technical implementation.
  • Follow enterprise coding, security, testing, documentation, and software-development standards.
